Terms of Service

1. The Service

Beamwork is an AI-powered website builder for local businesses. We use publicly available business data and AI language models to generate professional websites, which business owners can then claim, customize, and publish. The Service includes the Beamwork website, dashboard, site editor, and all related tools and features.

You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to act on behalf of any business you represent in order to use the Service.

2. Accounts and claiming

To publish and manage a site, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

The "pre-build and claim" model means a site may be generated for your business before you sign up. These pre-built sites are unpublished drafts. By claiming a site, you confirm that you have authority to represent the business and you take ownership of the site content going forward.

If you believe a site has been generated for your business and you did not claim it, contact us at hello@beamwork.ai and we will address it promptly.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Certain features of Beamwork require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Beamwork to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.

4. Your content and IP

You retain ownership of all content you provide or upload to the Service, including photos, business information, and custom copy. By submitting content, you grant Beamwork a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content as part of your published website.

AI-generated content (copy, layouts, and structure) produced by Beamwork on your behalf is provided to you for use in your website. You may edit, publish, and use this content freely as part of your subscription. Beamwork does not claim ownership of the generated output.

You are responsible for ensuring the content on your site does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Publish false, misleading, or fraudulent business information
• Impersonate another business or person
• Distribute spam, malware, or illegal content via your website
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract the Beamwork platform or its underlying AI models
• Use the Service to build a competing product without our written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

6. Availability and uptime

We strive to keep the Service available around the clock, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance, and unforeseen outages may occur. We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying your website content before publishing.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beamwork shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Beamwork in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Upon termination, your published site will be taken offline and your data will be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy (typically within 90 days).

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice, except where immediate action is required to protect the Service or other users.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
